Bug Description

Binary package hint: digikam

Steps to reproduce:
1. Click on a jpg image in a Digikam album.
2. In the Digikam image editor, click next.
Result: A black screen.

Detailed info:
This bug is sadly quite random. Sometimes I can click back and the previous picture shows up just fine. Clicking next thereafter gives me a black screen.

If the editor shows the correct image size, then I can get it to show the image by clicking the Zoom Autofit button. Using the keyboard shortcut "A" doesn't work though! If the editor shows 0x0 pixel size then I can't get it to show the image and if I try to edit it, Digikam crashes.

System:
Kubuntu Edgy (upgraded from Dapper). In Dapper it worked, so I have a suspicion that it started when I upgraded.

dpkg -l digikam libimlib2 libkexif1 | tail -3
ii digikam 0.8.2-2ubuntu1 digital photo management application for KDE
ii libimlib2 1.2.1-2ubuntu1.1 powerful image loading and rendering library
ii libkexif1 0.2.3-2 library for KDE to read/display/edit EXIF in

Ps. I've joined #digikam on the freenode network to be available if there are some instant questions in regards to the bug (sometimes it is easier on irc).

UPDATE: I just found a similar bug: https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source/kubuntu-meta/+bug/70400

Same problems occur on my computer, too. I use Edgy with the latest updates (KDE 3.5.5).

Sounds likely that Xargos has figured out where the problem is. I have 1.2.1-2ubuntu1.1 installed too and it has just been updated because of a security issue.

This bug and #70400 should probably be marked as duplicates of bug #70278.
