Bug Description

Binary package hint: python-imaging

From my best knowledge most pyton apps that uses PIL imports the name image. This package installs into /usr/lib/python*.*/site-packages/PIL and not /usr/lib/python*.*/site-packages/image which is expected from python apps.

I had to sym link this to make it work.

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better.

I'm closing this bug as won't fix because applications should use "import Image", which works, and not "import image". The official PIL documentation states that "import Image" should be used.
