Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-desktop-environment

In Gnome 2.1.6.1 after a clean installation of Ubuntu Edgy using the Alternate install ISO, the administrative programs in System>Administration do not consistently ask for password to access. Specifically, only Synaptic asks for a password to access and change the system.
