Please run it from the command line and paste any output from it. Works for me when using Mist.

Note that this is running on AMD64, and using edgy.

All of the official 6.10 software sources are enabled, as well as security, recommended, and backported updates.

I get a similar error on AMD64, Ubuntu 7.04. However, it is not quite the same, because the output I get also contains this line (repeated here):

/usr/share/themes/Mist/gtk-2.0/gtkrc:6: error: unexpected character `@', expected string constant

That same error in Feisty:
/usr/share/themes/Mist/gtk-2.0/gtkrc:6: error: unexpected character `@', expected string constant

I received no other errors after doing the following fix:

After changing the theme, it worked.
