Bug Description

I have a:

01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc Radeon R250 Lf [FireGL 9000] (rev 01)

In an HP Pavilion ZT3000. After upgrading to Edgy, external monitor hookup no longer works. If I plug the laptop into a projector while the machine is running, the display is corrupted until I VT switch away from X and back, but nothing comes on the projector and the 'Switch screens' hot key does nothing. If I reboot the laptop and let it boot with the projector connected, X doesn't appear (but I can VT switch to a console fine). If I remove the projector and restart gdm, X appears.

I'll have to double check when I'm back in the UK, but I'm 95% certain this worked with either breezy or dapper.

Sorry for not asking this before, but have you tried a newer release, preferably 7.10beta?
