Bug Description

Binary package hint: wwwoffle

wwwoffle 2.9-1 in ubuntu edgy

There should be scripts in the following directories, which can switch wwwoffle into online-mode whenever an interface goes up, or in offline-mode, whenever an interface goes down.

/etc/network/if-up.d
/etc/network/if-down.d

wwwoffle should always use the default route, as it would by any browser.

I found out, it wasn't that complicated, so I did these two scripts and would suggest to add them to the future wwwoffle packages

Also need to add "network" do the /etc/wwwoffle/wwwoffle.options
otherwise the script won't be executed.
if fetch is configured there, if-up will also fetch!

please report, if these scripts don't work on some different architecture/whatever.

Hope, that someone could take over this one - but don' really know who could do it.
I dont have any experience with package building or contributing to the repositories, so please help!

This can be set just fine in /etc/wwwoffle/wwwoffle.options at least in lucid and probably prior to that

Still an issue?

To the previous triager; please mark bugs requiring more information as Incomplete so this process doesn't need doing and can auto-expire in future, also only assign yourself if you are developing it, it's not meant for triaging.

Thanks, Teej. I had set it to incomplete and I think I'll continue to assign to myself since I quite often package a patch or an SRU if I can come up with one. This process works very well for me for a long time.
