Bug Description

I have noticed using Gimp in Edgy that it after scanning, saving and closing dozens of images that Gimp slows to a crawl. One time it was so bad that effects where not appearing when applied, but after closing Gimp and reopening the image the effects where present.

I have noticed that Gimp is leaking approximately 9 mb between each scanning, saving, and closing.

Here is the valgrind output. Gimp seemed completely unresponsive after scanning modifiing and saving two images. I had to force quit gimp to close the application as it did not seem to want to close.

Hi Jeremy
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Can you try with latest Ubuntu release?

Thanks in advance.
