Headphone output of CD-Drives inactive

Hello
Many CD-Drives do have Headphone outputs, but under Ubuntu these Output is inactive.
Please activate the Headphone output or install a switch to switch it on or off.

Generally this does work with most cdrom drives, just the way you expect.
To figure out why it does not work for you, could you please report what make and model your cdrom drive is?
