Could you please attach /var/log/installer/syslog, /var/log/syslog, and /var/log/partman to this bug, by commenting on the bug's web page? /var/log/installer/syslog only exists on Kubuntu 6.06 Dapper. Thanks in advance.

Can you please try to get those log files if you can still reproduce the error? (Otherwise, if you managed to install the system, you will find the files in /var/log/installer )

Sorry about not answering earlier. Unfortunately I do not have any of the files, as I decided to go back to using ubuntu. If I at some point have the time I'll try kubuntu again, but that will not happen soon. If nobody else has seen this problem, I'd propose to close it for now.

Thanks for getting back to us. This error message is a generic error message so I can't really say what your problem was. Since you don't have the logfiles though not much can be done, so as you suggest, I'll close the report. Thanks again!
