Bug Description

Binary package hint: mdadm

There is no check for whole disks assigned as a member of a raid array.
It caused very slow boot on my box.
My box is set up with four sata and one pata disks. The ata disk contains two pratitons: hda1 for root filesystem and hda2 for the swap. All the four sata disks are in one big raid5 array.
In other words md0=raid5(sda, sdb, sdc, sdd).

There is a script /usr/share/initramfs-tools/scripts/local-top/md in the mdadm package.
It scans only the hda1, hda2, sda1, sdb2, etc but no the hda, hdb, sda, sdb.

I had to wait 180 seconds on every boot for timeout of the scanning the possibly raid member disks to determine which raid level module need to load into the kernel.

ps: it is closer for Bug #67299
