Bug Description

I attempted to do a clean install of Ubuntu Edgy Eft and got a "Cannot display resolution" error from my monitor. When I figured a work around, I looked at the xorg.conf file made for the Dell 2405 FPW, I noticed it displayed a resolution that this monitor cannot handle.

Fedora Core 6 installed fine, and in order for me to get Ubuntu 6.10 to install I had to hook up another monitor, install. Change the xorg.conf file to the correct resolution range for the Dell. 2405 FPW. This monitor worked in full resolution under the same system properties n Dapper Drake.

It's been a few weeks without response. I think this is likely fixed in Gutsy, but if someone could please test Gutsy final, please reopen if the issue still exists.
