Sorry, I was unable to type what happened because the keyboard was not working (except for ctrl-alt-f1, thankfully!) Fortunately the mouse still worked, otherwise I could not have posted the bug.
This is how I activated the bug: I hit ctrl-alt-t, to bring up gnome terminal, and compiz crashed. I am using the very latest compiz and unity, downloaded this afternoon.
