Bug Description

In Feisty Fawn if you disable the right mouse click menu then right click on the desktop it stops managing the desktop all together.

This happens with the following desktop settings ( desktop settings -> behaviour tab ) :

Check "Show window list on middle mouse click"

Uncheck "Show desktop menu on right click"

and no desktop icons..

Note: the original reporter indicated the bug was in package 'xfdesktop4'; however, that package was not published in Baltix.

I can't reproduce this on my feisty box. Which architecture do you use? And which version of xfdesktop?

and did you close out of the desktop configuration box then reopen it...

I figured it out.. no icons and no menus just using it for a wallpaper and it will think it is not being used for anything and stop managing it...

blah.. it didn't attach it...

but the settings are

right click should do nothing...

I am having this problem with an up to date, fresh install of feisty xubuntu. I use the same settings as above except that I *do* have minimized application desktop icons. If I simply check "Show desktop menu on right click" then the problem goes away.
