Bug Description

Finally got past the GLX_EXT_texture_from_pixmap problems by installing the BETA of the nvidia drivers, so compiz no longer moans when it starts ...

However it now coredumps immediataly when I do;
compiz --replace --use-cow gconf

Ubuntu/Edgy, up-to-date as of Dec 03, apt-get compiz-* packages.
Nvidia Beta drivers on Opteron CPU running i386 distro.

Mmm, sure ... just as soon as I "see" it (!)
(3.3 is the my only option in synaptic)

Could you try with 0.3.6 and tell if works now? It's in Feisty repositories.

Anybody can confirm it in Feisty with Compiz 0.3.6?

In Feisty with Compiz 0.3.6 it doesn't crash instantly

it does, however, fail to draw any window decorations on some windows (e.g. xchat), completely screws up with others (e.g. firefox), and crashes of its own accord after about a minute

Then I'm closing the report, as it seems to be fixed with 0.3.6.

But feel free to reopen if you experience again this issue
