Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-control-center

My new SlimStar 310 keyboard has some keys are not registered. There needs to be a new keyboard layout, along with some setkeycodes to get the kernel to support some of the keys.
Some of the keys include e011 and e02d (from kernel messages).

I couldn't find documentation on adding all this myself, but I am willing to help.

Most problems with keys are actually caused by the USB to PS2 converter which comes with the product. Using the keyboard via it's USB connector will only leave one multimedia key unusable and that is a key with "[Ex]" above it (not sure what the function might be).

The generic 105 seems to works fine, and the "Genius Comfy KB-12e" layout seems to work well to.

Hi bneijt,

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Can you try with the latest development release of Ubuntu? (ISOs are available from cdimage.ubuntu.com)

If it remains an issue, could you also attach a new /var/log/Xorg.0.log?
Thanks in advance.

The output of lspci -vvnn would also be worth having.
