Bug Description

Binary package hint: ash

Using the Edgy Eft Alternate i386 CD.

When loading in 'expert' mode, then interrupting the install process (I did it at the partition editor stage) and switching to the command shell:

A prompt tells the user that the hard disks are mounted under /target but once in the ash shell, there is no /target.

Thank you for filing this report.
At what point exactly did you interrupt the install process? Can you provide the logfile where it says it mounted "/target"?
Thanks :)

As my initial report said, I interrupted it at the Partition Editor stage (hoping to find a way to load dmraid to install to a Promise FastTrak FakeRAID 0+1 array).

There was no log - it was running only from the CD and there was no write access to persistent file system.

Edgy is not supported anymore. Please reopen this report if this is still an issue in a later version of Ubuntu.
