Bug Description

Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-driver-ati

3D acceleration, and consequently AIGLX, does not work with the ATI Radeon 7500 Mobility with Ubuntu Edgy out of the box. A similar bug was originally reported for Breezy (https://launchpad.net/bugs/3587) and marked as being fixed. But it either wasn't, or this is a new, similar bug. For example, there is an eleven-page thread (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=122094), started in January and continuing to the present, of people trying get 3D acceleration to work with this specific card.

Closing my own bug. Reinstalled, DRI works fine. Hey, I'm an idiot!
