doc-linux-html includes files that automatically open pages online

Bug Description

Using doc-linux-html (2006.04-1) in Edgy.

Two HOWTO files automatically redirect to pages online. On an offline machine these obviously fail, and it is rude to automatically load a web page without my permission. I think these pages should either be removed, or replaced by the online content they are trying to load.

The two HOWTOs are:

Adv-bash-scr-HOWTO.html which tries to load http://www.tldp.org/LDP/abs/html/

Consultants-HOWTO.html which tries to load http://www.tldp.org/LDP/lcg/html/

bug #76313 is another one.

Feisty has a more recent copy of doc-linux which would be the best one
to work from. I'm not sure how they are put together - I suspect they
are synced some how from the web site.

They are automatically synced from Debian's archives. I'll take a look at that bug as well.

I think Debian auto sync it from the ldp web site - which may explain
some of the weirdness.

After 3-4 hours of work, and half of a patch, I realized that my work would be unmaintainable, since it is simply downloaded from TLDP every month. Please contact upstream at http://www.tldp.org/mailinfo.html .
