Bug Description

Binary package hint: xen-restricted-modules-2.6.17-6-generic-xen0

The nVidia driver fails loading when booting up the Xen Linux image. The nVidia module in the xen restricted package appears to be version 1.0.8774 and the nvidia-glx package is at 1.0.8776, preventing the kernel module from loading.

Forgot to note that this was a portion of Bug #74305 that I pulled out into a separate bug so it could be tracked individually.

Is this issue still a problem for you?

Sorry for the long delay. I actually haven't used Xen on my home systems since I came across that nVidia issue. I was mostly trying out Xen just to see what it's like. In my current day job though I use Xen all the time, so I really haven't felt the need to try running at home (especially as I don't have a processor with VT extensions).

Since no one else has complained since my initial bugging I guess you can close this out.
