Can't reinstall Cacti in Ubuntu 10.04 after running apt-get install cacti --reinstall.

Reading the dpkg log I come to the following conclusion:
- During the question for the root password on the mysql database the wrong password was provided, thus the removal of the database failed
- After continuing with reinstallation of the database, the OP was hit by "Table 'cdef' already exists": http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=665742
