Unable to copy text from Preview mode

Bug Description

Using RN 1.1.8 on Windows Vista: it seems to be impossible copying text from the Preview mode onto the clipboard. Instead copy/paste only seems to be possible when switching the view to "Edit" mode.

Is it possible to make copy (CTRL-C) work from the Preview mode too? Or is this a limitation of GTK?

It works for me on Windows XP. Can you state the exact steps on how to reproduce this problem please?

Hi Jendrik,

It's quite simple actually. When I am in RedNotebook, I switch to Preview mode for a day that has content. I then notice 2 things:

1) When I select a piece of text, I cannot right-click to open up a context menu that would contain "Copy".
2) When I use the Edit > Copy command, nothing is being copied to the Windows Clipboard. For example: I cannot paste any content in the Windows Notepad

Both options work fine if I switch my notebook to "Edit" mode.

Ah, I see. I have never used these options. Ctrl+C should work, does it?

Yes, CTRL+C works! I never thought of using the keyboard shortcut. Would be nice if the other ways could be made to work as well to make things consistent.

I'll set this to "wishlist" as it might confues other users as well that they cannot copy text with Edit->Copy. At least those commands should be greyed out in preview mode.

The "copy" menu item now also works for the preview. Unfortunately enabling the right-click context menu is not so easy, but I don't think it's needed if we have the menu item and Ctrl-C.
