Bug Description

I had just started a download in Chromium and then clicked on the Home Folder link in Unity. The whole PC hung for around 15 seconds and then Compiz restarted with all applications working again.

I was extracting a tgz file I had downloaded and was doing an ALT+TAB switch to another app when this crash happened.

this is a nice system im still getting used to it, im going along with the bug reports when they appear i follow through and send
them to you , i am installing all the updates , I've already deleted this system and reinstalled it once this newest one did a real
good job getting wireless. Milton.

compiz simply crashed when i tried to move a file.

Thanks for taking time to report this bug and helping to make ubuntu better. Its been a while since this bug was reported, there have been alot of changes in Unity since then. Can you please test with Ubuntu 12.04 with all updates installed and let us know if the issue is still there.
