Crash occured during update to boinc-client. Boinc-client is now broken.

thanks for the clarification. I'm not managing to reproduce from your original steps:

Can I ask if you can reproduce this reliably? Is there anything particular about your
Ubuntu install? Any other information you can supply would help us a lot.

My bug #931402 has not duplicated the version of UBuntu is 12.04 and the version for this bug is 11.10
