lightdm does not ask for a new password with pam_winbind or pam_krb5 authentications when the password is expired

Bug Description

I'm using an up-to-date oneiric workstation joined through samba and winbind to an AD domain controlled by a Windows server.

When the password of a domain user is expired and when pam_winbind is used as first authentication, lightdm does not ask for a new password and does not allow to login, displaying the message "Invalid password, please try again".

Instead, when pam_krb5 is used as first authentication, lightdm asks two times for a password ("Enter it again:") and then allows to login even if the password is expired.

When using a text console to login, the password changing dialog is immediately presented (as it happens in natty with gdm).

This should be fixed in bug 851347, please comment there if this is not the case.

I have unmarked this bug as a duplicate of #851347 as after fixing it the issue is still present (precise release, lightdm 1.0.6-0ubuntu2)

Then maybe https://bugs.launchpad.net/lightdm/+bug/869501 is a duplicate of this one?

What version of lightdm and what greeter is this being reproduced on? Can anyone who is getting this please test on 1.1.x and see if it occurs in that version?

I posted a comment on https://bugs.launchpad.net/lightdm/+bug/869501, which I think should be describing the same problem.

The bug is still present in precise, with the same pam configurations for winbind and krb5.
