Bug Description

X fails to start on boot with error -
[ 17.560] (==) intel(0): video overlay key set to 0x101fe
[ 17.560] (EE) intel(0): failed to get resources: Bad file descriptor

[ 17.560] (II) Unloading intel
[ 17.560] (EE) Screen(s) found, but none have a usable configuration.

WORK AROUND:
Waiting a few seconds, killing lightdm and starting it again makes it work.

Hey parag-warudkar,

Hi, thanks for reporting this issue during the development period of
Ubuntu.

I notice there's not been further comments to the bug report since the
release came out, would you mind updating us on the status of it in the
release?

Are you still able to reproduce the issue? If not, do you think the bug
report can be closed, or do you think we should continue tracking it?

No longer able to reproduce - there was a BIOS update meanwhile - not sure if that fixed it or updated packages.

I do however see a separate issue - lightdm just brings up the cursor - in the background the VT is still there and keyboard keys produce gibberish but I realize that's a different issue - will open a new one for that.
