any hint to get it working again ? The only cure is to log out the current session and log back, the whole computer doesn't have to be rebooted.

Mainly affects applications that held active audio streams during suspend.
Good examples are Skype and media players.

Tip:
A temporary workaround could be to hibernate instead, as I have noticed that it only affects the sleep action. Just until it's solved.

I have the same issue. I have no sound after resume from suspend but when I suspend again and the resume the sound is on. I have this issue for months. And I can say the sound is off every second resume and vice versa. This interesting behaviour works me around that issue for a long time.

I am using banshee for sound playback.

Best regards, Holger.

After resuming the audio is not totally off, just "buggy", if I play any audio, or stream from Internet, you can hear it but does not understand it.
