Bug Description

Due to some changes in GNOME 3, synergy no longer works properly. Apparently gnome windows no longer emit the MotionNotify signal to the X server.

The mouse pointer will get stuck on the server when any gnome 3 app (including gnome-shell) are against the edge of the screen.

Upstream bug report is at http://synergy-foss.org/tracker/issues/2958.

There is a patch there, that fixes this issue, by changing synergy to use XI_RawEvent.

Version 1.3.8 fixes this bug. It will be synced soon from wheezy into precise. Given the importance of this bug, it should probably be backported to oneiric once 1.3.8 is in precise.

This is now fixed in precise. I'll subscribe ubuntu-sru to decide whether this should be backported to oneiric (where synergy doesn't work with GNOME3 currently).
