Initially, I was able to run Bibletime, but after I loaded bibles, commentaries, etc. it has crashed every time, immediately after the splash screen appeared.

Charles discription of events pretty much mirrors mine. I had set the Bibletime downloading Bibles and a few miniutes later I came back and it had crashed, hasn;t got past splash screen since.

Yeah, same thing here. When I try to launch bible time, It won't get past the splash screen.

I too corrupted bibletime during a multiple-bible-downloading-session that I discussed here:

After todays update of Bibletime (to version 2.8.1-2build1) it become to work properly. Confirm launching, opening added translations.
