It is impossible to enter 10^4.7 or 10^(5+2) or similar. This seems to be a broken functionality.

doing "10^4.7 [enter]" works there on Oneiric

I was trying to use button "\uparrow n". It is also not working by pressing down CTRL. Only integers can be written in this way. Sorry for incomplete description.
