Moving to g-c-c, as several of the duplicates deal with the sound panel. Might this have something to do with external plugins?

The error that causes the crash mentions no gsettings schemas being installed. Seems wrong.

affects: deja-dup (Ubuntu) → gnome-control-center (Ubuntu)

It's probably not "external" ones since sound-nua is built in source in g-c-c-, deja-dup is also not different from any of the in-source .so, the bug still seems weird, I wonder if that happens during upgrades (we had a glib bug where the maintainer script would rm the mmap to recreate it which was leading to a delay without visibly installed schemas)
