When "Icons Only" is selected in Menu Prefs, nothing happens

Bug Description

I like my desktop with only icons and no text, so I went to the option in gnome
menu preferences and switched it to "icons only" but the buttons all stayed the
same. In epiphany and in evolution.

seems to be a duplicate of a know gconf bug. Do you get the right style after a
"killall gnome-settings-daemon" ?
