There is too much gap between Unity sidebar and desktop icons. Please check the attached screen shot for reference.

According to the base bug this issue has been fixed in the Ubuntu 12.04 Beta release. But I am facing the same issue in the latest release of Ubuntu 12.04.

nautilus --version
GNOME nautilus 3.3.90

Please look into this issue whether the fix has been released.

To certain extend this issue got resoved after I resized the launcher icons from appearance setting. With the default setting the gap is definitely visible. So I feel this issue has to be checked in a freshly install system where it is easily reproducible.

I have attached my current screen shot.

Could you please attach the output of 'apt-cache policy nautilus' and attach a new screenshot if the issue is still actual?
