Bug Description

12.04 Beta1

Super+T seems to be bound to opening the Trash folder, but that doesn't show up as one of the keyboard shortcuts in gnome-control-center. When I try set the 'Launch Terminal' shortcut to Super+T the result is that Super+T still opens the trash folder. Setting other shortcuts to Super+<something else> also doesn't change the behaviour of those key combinations.

To reproduce: Launch System Settings (or gnome-control-center), go to 'Keyboard', click on the 'Shortcuts' tab, and set a launcher to Super+<something>.

Hitting Super alone opens the Unity search menu as usual.

The default keyboard shortcuts that have Super (e.g. Super+Up to maximize a window) work fine.

Same issue with gnome-shell. Super-D, Super-L, does not working, while Super-Up, Super-Down is okay.

This is related to bug 774514 and bug 898087 but is a bug on its own because even shortcuts that are not bound by Unity or Compiz do not work.

Unseting Super from the key to show launcher in CCSM > Unity plugin also does not help.

I have also a problem with shortcuts, with the media keys since upgraded to 12.04, they don't work. But I'm using KDE in Kubuntu. So maybe this is not a problem in Gnome or Unity, but in a package which both (Ubuntu & Kubuntu) share.

Tested with another users, and the same problem, but after upgrading KDE to 4.8.3 and Clementine to the dev branch, media keys work again. So in this case, it was a problem in an official package.

Same problem when trying to assign Super+C/V to media controls like "Play/Pause". I also can't use Super-NumPad4,5,6 to position windows, Numpad7,8,9,1,2,3 work fine. All of this worked in 11.10.
