The KiCad Winbuilder project is a complete, isolated build environment for building up-to-date testing versions of KiCad using msys2 and MinGW-w64
IT'S NOT RECOMMENDED FOR USERS TO USE KICAD-WINBUIDLER ANYMORE TO USE LATEST BUILDS, PLEASE READ ON...
KiCad-Winbuilder has changed and moved to GitHub ( https:/
The project has morphed into a build system which utilises the MinGW packages from the MSYS2 project to satisfy the dependencies for building KiCad. That's great because it means they're kept up-to-date and means KiCad developers no longer need to maintain dependency projects in order to build KiCad on/for Windows.
KiCad-Winbuilder is now also used on the KiCad CI (Continuous Integration) server to build up-to-date snapshots. The Recent Builds are provided on the KiCad website: http://
Thank-you to all those who supported the original KiCad-Winbuilder implementation. 30,000+ downloads of the last version shows people really do want to run the latest versions and now you can without the pain of building yourself!
