I remain pissed enough to maybe even sit down and make a proper patch
(i.e. actually fixing zoom to do something sensible) for this atrocity,
but on the other hand my coffee supply isn't infinite and I have an
EAGLE license. Oh noes.

FWIW, I have no clue why nobody else reported this. I would recommend
you to regard this issue independent of its flaming reporter; since you
say you were already aware of it I guess you might interpret my rage as
indication of its severity.
