Comment 12 for bug 1121169

The issue appears to be caused by the PageView.page_overlay_changed_cb() which emits the changed() signal which, as far as I can tell, calls AutosaveManager.on_page_changed() which calls AutosaveManager.update_page() every time the crop position is updated.
