I experimentally built pyjack for quantal. It's in my PPA. https:/
The only patch was to change the installation path from hardcoded python2.6 to python2.7.
Lintian reports a problem with lack of numpy abi version. It recommends adding dh_numpy to debian/rules. I added it, but it didn't help. The package works, though.
