It is an intractable problem for me. I have a ThinkPad Z60m and have had no sound at all since "upgrading" from 8.10 to 9.04, though I do have it when running the live CD. Here's the output of asoundconf list: ~$ asoundconf list

I have uninstalled ALSA, Pulse, reinstalled both, and all to no avail. If I can't figure this out by tomorrow, it's back to 8.10 for me...but that means backing up every damn TomTom note, bookmarks, God knows what.
