Doesn't make any sense...
Well, i messed up things trying to fix this problem, i've been following different directions and one of them was to install a backport module for wireless.
Nothing worked so i decided to remove and then reinstall the broadcom driver, i did it but after that i was totally without wireless since the wl module wouldn't load due to an "unknown symbol" error.
It turned out it was that backport module i've installed to cause this so i removed it.
Then i had wireless back, but the same problem with the wpa stuff.
So i decided to downgrade the wpasupplicant i just upgraded following the #35 comment.
I came back to the wpasupplicant package in the ubuntu repositories.

I couldn't believe that, but when i tried to connect to my wpa protected network it worked immediately.
Now, i'm writing this without having rebooted yet, so...i can't say my problem is completely fixed.
I'll update this if it comes back.

Thanks,
Da.
