actually i get the opposite -- my local nameservers are overwritten in /etc/resolv.conf during a VPN connection and they never go back to my original settings (nameserver 10.10.10.120) and if I manually change them after my vpn disconnect, somehow the unused VPN (or related programs) is/are changing the resolv.conf file BACK to the unwanted foreign nameservers :(
