no I'm adding infos to this bug, I also experience it.

I found out, that in my case using Firefox across Windows and Linux with the same profile is causing the bug. Everytime after I used Firefox in WinXP, the extensions.rdf is altered and Firefox under Ubuntu gets problems. After deleting extensions.rdf, its working again under Ubuntu.
However, this looks like the Windows and the Linux version of Firefox is treating this file differently. I use Firefox 2.0.0.3 in both cases.
