How about implementing it so that by default the support for it is off and
that if you want it on, you specifically have to add the URL to the list of
sites allowed to use it? Its similar to the solution to POPUP windows, but
without the option of turning it off globablly.

I'm trying to convince my company to switch from IE to Firefox due to all the
holes IE has. Unfortunately certain pieces of software refuse to run and until
such a time they won't even consider it.
