Okay, got my system fixed now.
Using the LiveCD and;
cp --parents `dpkg -L libc6-i686 | xargs` /path/to/mounted/disk/
cp --parents `dpkg -L libc6 | xargs` /path/to/mounted/disk/

Shouldn't important and system-critical updates like this have been put into 'hardy-proposed' (Pre-release updates) for a few days before it got put into 'hardy-updates' (Recommended updates) ?
