Comment 48 for bug 197589

This bug still exists, and it's making me insane.

When I uncheck "allow to control the pointer using the keyboard" ubuntu, it holds for a few days, and then mysteriously gets unchecked again, at which point, using the arrow keys will immediately bork my user session and all work in process goes bye-bye. It's only screwed me seriously, about 4 times, thus far.

Can someone explain the status of this one to me? Is there something I can do to minimize this behavior? It's going to really mess me up, one of these days. I cannot afford to have my OS rebooting when I use the numpad arrow keys.
