Hmmm, I would appreciate you asked me before submitting this bug report here: I was in contact with Debian and giving them a week to fix it. As I'm the author of the patch, in case you didn't see it, I had an upload prepared, waiting for an answer.
Also it's also good practice to thank the patch author in the changelog
