Firstly, thanks for the patch.

However, I'm a bit surprised to see this uploaded, since I asked on IRC for it to be forwarded to Debian (whereupon I would have sponsored to enable a sync). I'd also like the patch to be forwarded to upstream; could you do that, please?

Also isn't it the case that adding libxml2-dev is a workaround for broken libaugeas-dev Depends?
