I looked a bit into this issue and found that it was resolved in indi version 5:0.5-0ubuntu8 where the indi binary package was removed to fix this conflict, see https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/indi/5:0.5-0ubuntu8 for details. Since one of the conflicting packages was removed, this seems fixed in Ubuntu 12.04 and all newer releases, so I've taken the liberty of marking this as Fix Released.
