Thanks for your report. I can confirm the bug, but it has nothing to do with users-admin. Just removing an user via 'deluser' triggers the bug.
What is interesting is that new users appear on the fly in the menu, while they are not removed when deleted. This makes me think something very trivial is going on here, the code to check for updates being in place already.
