Exactly the same thing (as in the description of this bug) happened to me yesterday with my Kodak EasyShare DX4530, and I had to do the following downgrade to make it work again:
To sum it up - it was working all the time, then after recent update it stopped to work, and after downgrading the packages, it worked again (immediatellly / no restart).
I'm not sure whether I should fill a new bug report for this.
