Same here with a Canon EOS 400D (Digital Rebel). I tried the general rule

ENV{INTERFACE}=="6/1/1", MODE="0660", GROUP="plugdev"

first. It did not work. I added

SYSFS{idVendor}=="04a9", SYSFS{idProduct}=="3110", MODE="0660", GROUP="plugdev"

Now it works. Thanks for the workaround.
